The Princess Diana Gowns Collection at Kensington PalaceThis prestigious appraisal included the world famous Princess Diana gowns which were a major display of Kensington Palace – where Diana’s apartments were once located. We are proud to have worked at the Palace and to have had this very personal association with the memory the most beloved Royal.

The James Douglas Morrison EstateIncluded in the collection were the never before seen writings and poetry left behind by Jim Morrison of the Doors at his Paris apartment in 1971, when his tragic death robbed the world of a great poet and musician. The collection had been locked away in a bank vault for over forty years.

The Al Capone FAmily CollectionThe appraisal of Al and Mae Capone’s items, left to his family at the death of his son, Alfred “Sonny” Capone. Included were his guns, jewelry, personal photo collection, and Palm Island Florida household possessions left at his death in 1947. This was the main Archive of the life of this enigmatic American legend. Geraldo found an empty vault, as most everything existing was in this family collection.

The Yellowstone National Park CollectionsTGA conducted appraisals for the Dept. of the Interior of nearly the entire antique furnishings, art and artifacts collections of the Park, as well as the vast antique vehicle collection of stagecoaches and early motorized vehicles. Working in tandem with Park Curatorial staff, TGA evaluated the National treasures at such Park locations at Old Faithful, Mammoth, Lake, Gardiner, etc. In 2014, he will conduct further appraisals at Yellowstone.

The Ghost Towns of Virginia City and Nevada City, MontanaAn appraisal of nearly 1 Million Artifacts!
Timothy Gordon received national acclaim for his appraisal of the contents of the two world famous restored ghost towns, Virginia City and Nevada City, Montana, and their combined collections. This has been recognized as perhaps the largest appraisal ever undertaken by a single appraiser. The collection encompasses approximately one million objects. In each of 150 buildings were objects ranging from early wagons and automobiles to entire 19th Century general store contents, antique saloons, Chinese artifacts, stagecoaches and wagons, early automobile collectibles, world-renowned collection of antique music machines, as well as tens of thousands of other varied antiquities. |
The Foosaner Art Museum – Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FLTGA inventoried, catalogued and appraised the entire art collection of several thousand pieces of American art including paintings, prints and sculpture, as well as the collections of Pre-Columbian artifacts, Asian art, Egyptian and Roman artifacts.

The American University Special Collections, Washington D.C.This appraisal included the Special Collections of this famed Institution including rare book collections dating to the 15th Century, the Japanese prints and volumes and rare documents including early Presidential letters by America’s Founding fathers George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

the havre undergroundThe Havre Underground - When the city of Havre, Montana burned in the winter of 1904, the merchants went underground to escape the cold. The respectable businesses soon rebuilt above ground, but some involved in illicit trade, remained. TGA completed the appraisal of the entire historic contents of saloons, brothels, gambling parlor, etc., as well as the contents of the nearby H. Earl Clack Museum!

The Ed Sullivan Estate CollectionThe Ed Sullivan Estate Family Collection - Entire Personal Library, career awards, photography, art and memorabilia - Perhaps the most famous impresario of the last 100 years, Sullivan’s legendary television program ran from 1948 -1971 and was instrumental in launching the careers of Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Doors, The Jackson Family, Bob Dylan, and scores of others.

The Chateau montelena wineryThe Chateau Montelena Winery, Napa Valley California - in 1973 the Chateau Montelena won first place in the Judgment of Paris wine competition, a first victory by American wine makers over France. Owner, Laura Barrett amassed large art and antique collections, which were appraised by Timothy Gordon at various locations, including the winery.

PBS Frontier HouseTimothy Gordon was the historian/expert for this famous PBS series. His expert eye determined the look of the show including clothing, personal possessions, items of hygiene, food and water sources, and the look of 1883! Out of tens of millions of eventual viewers, producers received zero complaints pertaining to authenticity!
Timothy Gordon consults for television and film and advises historic consulting, props, and historic atmosphere and research related to history and artifacts. He also appeared on the program. |
