Inspecting a helmet from the Tower of London Collection
This British soldier’s helmet was made in the 1600′s for the English Civil War and was kept in the armory of the Tower of London. It was later sold by the Crown (in the 1800′s) to raise funds for the restoration of the Tower. Asha MacDonald is shown here inspecting the helmet for research on the London armourer’s hallmark. After some study, I believe it to be S.K. for Sylvester Keene
